Let's talk about it. I know we all know what migraines are, but what exactly is "Migraine Awareness Week?"
Migraine Awareness Week is a time to broaden the awareness behind the subject of migraines, as well as other headache related diseases. - pounding and throbbing in head areas
Migraine sufferers may also experience other symptoms such as:
- inability to concentrate
- changes in body temperature from feeling very hot to extremely cold
- stomach pain or cramps
- diarrhea
- stiff neck and shoulder pain
- stress and anxiety
It has been shown that the duration of a migraine can last anywhere from from a few hours up to 72 hours depending on the severity. If your symptoms are lasting over 72 hours it is recommended to seek medical attention. Talk to your physician if your treatment plan is best suited depending on your lifestyle as many factors come into play when it comes to migraine triggers such as diet, stress, environment etc.
